• 12 Tablespoons butter (3/4 cup), softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Culinary Lavender buds
  • 1 Tablespoon of grated lime zest
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 2-1/4 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour

In a mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in the Culinary Lavender buds and lime zest. Add egg, vanilla and mix well. Gradually add the flour a little at a time until it is well combined. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour. Roll out the dough about 1/4 inch thick, cut into shapes, and bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven until the cookies just begin to brown around the edges, about 12 to 14 minutes. Be careful not to overbake.
